EKA-Knivar AB was founded in 1882 by Hadar Hallstrom, EKA has become a well known knife manufacturer associated with craftmanship and quality.  EKA knives are known throughout the world for their strength, safety and first class design.

EKA has three basic requirements for manufacturing a quality knife;

1. The steel in the knife must be of high quality.  EKA uses stainless steel from Sandvik in its knives, a steel with the technical description  of 12C27.
2. The hardening of the steel must be 57-59 Rockwell C.
3. The edge must be well made.  To guarantee a sharp, duarble edge, an edge angle of 40 degrees is used.

The impressive Eka Swede 8 has a very comfortable soft grip Kraton rubber handle (See our other listing for the Bubinga timber handle model) and features a strong and effective locking mechanism.  The Swede 8 is a great general purpose knife. The Swede 8 comes with a stylish Cordura belt sheath to secure the knife and a belt hook to secure it to your clothing belt.

It is a very high quality folding knife manufactured for many years of rugged and reliable service.  The EKA swede is a very high quality tool, not a cheap toy.  Hopefully the photos will do it some justice as to the high quality.
