VC Traders inc Warragul Equipment Hire is a third generation, family owned company with well over 35 years experience in the hire and rental industry and the sales and service of outdoor power equipment.

We have an extensive range that offers solutions for everyone. From the professional user to the home gardener we can provide our customers a wide variety of quality equipment, supported by the highest levels of customer service and technical assistance.

VC Traders specializes in the sales and service of all outdoor power equipment. We sell and service world leading brands such as Stihl, John Deere, Victa, Briggs & Stratton and Silvan. We have a very specialised range of hand made knives, axes and tools with some specialty Viking axes from companies such as Gransfors Bruk, Hultafors, Karesuando, Fadir Tools, Noric Steel, Kero, Eka and more. 

Our hire fleet consists of a large, modern range of commercial equipment ranging from small hand held machinery up to large earthmoving equipment.  We have a simple commitment to provide customers with modern, clean and reliable equipment and to offer a high standard of service.

The Hire and Rental Association of Australia, as a national industry association, maintains a close eye on changes to safety legislation and works with us as a member to develop national codes of business management to ensure safety measures are identified, adopted and implemented into our business.

Our opening hours are Monday to Friday 7am-5pm and Saturday 8-12pm.

Meet the VC Traders Team:

Rebecca Martin – Our highly respected sales manager and VC Traders veteran, Rebecca is married with two kids. Rebecca’s can do attitude, her positive outlook and bright personality sees her successfully selling our product range. Whether it be a $199 brushcutter or a $25,000 ride on mower, Rebecca has an enviable product knowledge allowing her to present and demonstrate our entire and vast range of products. Rebecca has successfully completed factory training from Briggs and Stratton, Silvan, Stihl & John Deere.  Rebecca is a go getter with an infectious personality.

Simon Dawson – Our spare parts manager and fully qualified light stream mechanic.  An award winning apprentice, taking out the GippsTAFE “Outstanding 1st Year Apprentice Automotive – Mechanical” in 2012.  Simon has a flair for quick fault diagnosis, thoroughness, and a terrific mechanical aptitude.  He is also a proud member of the Stihl Gold Accreditation team, a globally recognized and very intensive, Stihl factory training accreditation program and a Briggs & Stratton Master Service Technician. Both the highest level of training available to us in the industry. Simon also takes out the silver award in the company for Dad jokes 🙂

Rob Moore – Rob is a qualified automotive technician managing our hire department.  He has transformed our hire arm into a thriving fleet of modern, commercial equipment.  His corporate background, and business acumen complemented by his vast mechanical expertise is helping to grow our fleet quickly and do the majority of our service repairs and maintenace in house with the support of his team.

Brett Hazell – The local legend. An industry specialist who has worked for several years in the outdoor power equipment industry.  Brett has a vast range of knowledge on the range of products we sell.  He’s also the go to man for all your spare parts needs.

Lucas Correa – Our fully qualified service manager. Lucas knows how things tick.  He pulls them down, pimps them out, rebuilds them, gets better perfomance out of them and makes them run right.  Lucas has a passion for all things mechanical.  He’s the go to man to get it right.

Dave Briggs – An industry stalwart.  Twice winner of the  Victorian Honda Technician Of The Year award.  He knows his trade inside out. Your outdoor power equipment machinery is in good hands when it’s being serviced by Dave.  Dave is also the gold award winner in the company for Dad jokes. 🙂

Chris Eccles- First year apprentice.

Lachy Matthews- First year apprentice.

Shane Charter – Shane is one of our yard hands.  He’s the go to man in our hire team to get our hire gear looking sharp and ready for hire.

James Cookson – Jimbo works with us casually.  He is a qualified boiler maker with an amazing repertoire of skills.  With such a vast skillset from turning up new tools, making new parts by hand and maintaining our hire trailers.  Be sure to check out his scale model cars on our social pages that Jimbo has made by hand, they’re amazing.

Steve Coates – Steve is a fully qualified diesel mechanic that works casually with our crew. Steve comes in to problem solve, rebuild and service our wide variety of hire equipment.

Kerrie Saunders – Our accounts manager and our rock. A VC Traders veteran of nearly thirty years. 

Andree Addison – Our administration manager. A mother of two, she manages our administration. An intelligent, focused lady who tames our paperwork, administration and accounting jungle efficiently and effectively.

Lilli Taylor – Lilli is our third generation family member to join the crew.  Lilli is working in our administration department.

Dean Addison – Our general manager.  Jack of all trades master of none.  Not one.  Didn’t even rank in the Dad joke awards 🙂
